I purchased these to replace the cheap, tin earring hooks that come on costume kid's jewelry from the mall stores (Claires, Justice...). My daughter loves their trendy and holiday earrings but even the "sensitive ear" earrings seem to tarnish. Now she can buy inexpensive earrings and I just replace those cheap hooks with these sterling hooks. They are thin and can bend easily so you need to be careful not to crimp the hook. Great buy.

Thee sterling silver French wire earring hooks are a little small, but I think they will work fine. They are light weight.

These are good earwires, they do the job,and they are gentle on your ears. I rate them three stars because they are soft and delicate, and they break easy if you are not careful putting them on your earrings. Be very gentle, or have someone put them on that is familiar with jewelry.
